Why this site exists
Most official processes in Pakistan are simple once you know the exact sequence, but the government portals themselves rarely explain that sequence well, and most guides online are AI-generated filler stacked with ads. Every guide on Couch Potato is written to answer one specific question completely: what does this cost right now, what documents do you actually need, and what happens after you submit. Where a fee or a rule could move without warning, we say so and point you to the official source to confirm before you pay anything.
What makes a guide worth reading here
- The real sequence, not a summary. Every step-by-step guide is ordered the way the process actually runs, including the parts that stall people (a missing NOC, a mismatched CNIC address, a portal that only accepts one browser).
- Current numbers, with a written-on date. Fees and slabs move. Each guide states when it was last checked so you can judge whether to double check it yourself.
- No sign-up, no data collection. The calculators run entirely in your browser. We don't ask for a CNIC, phone number, or email to read a guide or use a tool.
